The Polished Professional

Audience:
- Anyone returning to the job market seeking knowledge for what is politically correct
- Those in the workplace who desire to gain a professional polish.
- Anyone returning to the job market seeking a refresher for what is ‘P.C.’ (politically correct).

Purpose: The purpose of this seminar is to acquaint those with business etiquette techniques to be used in the workplace to that can help them achieve their goals.

Objectives: At the end of this workshop participants will:
- Have created goals for their business success.
- Have a clearer understanding of the latest terminology.
- Become familiar with tools for better organization and planning.
- Know how to send emails to get results.
- Learn how to use effective techniques for leaving voice mail messages.
- Be able to make smarter choices in decisions on grooming and dress for success.

Sexual Harassment Prevention Methods (Page Top)

Audience: Anyone who works with others, and/or has supervisor authority.

Purpose: To make aware participants of laws and civil rights that governs how we supervise and are supervised and introduce methods of sexual harassment prevention.

Objectives: At the end of this seminar participants will:
- Understand the differences between Sexual Harassment and Hostile Work Environment.
- Understand the impact of Title IV of the Civil Rights Act as it relates to sexual harassment.
- Learn how to file a formal complaint with EEOC or private attorney.
- Be able to define sexual harassment.
- Recognize behaviors that are considered inappropriate.

Team Building (Page Top)

Audience: Anyone who leads or works on a team and has the desire to make the team successful.

Purpose: To provide techniques to individuals who wish to build their team leadership skills, and to those who wish to know how to contribute to the success of being on a team.

Objectives: At the end of this workshop participants will:
- Learn how to work as a team member effectively.
- Understand the benefits of working together.
- Identify opportunities for building better relationships.
- Increase communication skills that can help the team work collectively.

Domestic Violence and the Workplace (Page Top)

Audience: Anyone who has employees reporting to them (i.e. Business owners, upper management, supervisors) and policy and decision makers for the organization.

Purpose: To provide knowledge that can help to keep the workplace safe and to support victims of domestic violence who must come to work.

Objectives: Upon completion of this workshop participants will:
- Be made aware of the seriousness of domestic violence and how it can affect the workplace.
- Learn how to listen objectively to employees who are affected by domestic violence.
- To write a policy and procedure for reporting any kind of violence in the workplace.
- Create methods for safety planning in the workplace.
- Realize how productivity can be affected.

Domestic Violence and Religious Leadership (Page Top)

Audience: Clergy Leadership (including Pastors, Rabbis, Priests) and laypersons.

Purpose: To provide clergy leadership and lay persons with tools and knowledge to work objectively with anyone who comes to them regarding a domestic violence problem.

Objectives: Upon completion of this seminar participants will:
- Be more knowledgeable about domestic violence and its effects on families and communities.
- Be able to use their religious beliefs positively and appropriately to the situation that ultimately may save lives.
- Be able to provide resources to meet the needs of the clients.
- Display more compassion and be more understanding to victims
- Improve listening skills.
- Be able to educate others.
- Devise a plan to help victims that may include setting up an outreach program in their community.

Love Thy Self (Page Top)

Audience: For anyone seeking to build greater self-esteem.

Purpose: This workshop is designed to provide tools and techniques
that can help to build greater self-esteem.

Objectives: At the conclusion of this workshop participants will:
Be able to appreciate their uniqueness within the universe.
- Begin to forgive themselves for inner thoughts, feelings and actions that have previously hindered them.
- Be able to trace root-causes of their feelings and begin a plan of action for positive change.
- Build a greater support network that will positively support their needs.
- Realize the values and myths of peer pressure.
- Learn self trust and trust in others.

Diversity Appreciated (Page Top)

Audience: Anyone seeking an opportunity to learn about the culture we live in and to gain understanding of self and others.

Purpose: This workshop is designed to provide information and practice on tolerance and to value differences. Being made aware of any attitude or behavior that can cause conflict, and learning how to overcome it. This workshop goes beyond race and gender. It brings a fresh approach by appreciating differences and learning how to be tolerant without compromising values.

Objectives: By the end of this session participants will:
- Be made aware of their biases.
- Be able to ask questions to gain understanding of those unlike themselves.
- Learn to work with others more cooperatively.
-Appreciate the diverse culture in which we live.

Length: 4 hours or full-day sessions

Resolving Conflict (Page Top)

Audience: Anyone seeking tools that will help them to mange conflict to a resolve.

Purpose: This workshop is designed to provide techniques that enable participants to resolve conflict.

Objectives: At the end of this session participants will:
- Be able to identify conflict.
- Use techniques to find the ‘win-win’ in the situation.
- To look for alternative approaches to resolve conflict.
- To identify the real sources behind the conflict.
- Learn ways to remain calm.
- Help others to identify the source of conflict.
- Learn ways to ‘negotiate.’
- Utilize techniques for better listening (i.e. listen with eyes, opponent’s word choices).
